Berlin Packaging's Wine Bottle Named Sustainability Awards Finalist

Berlin Packaging's Aurelia wine bottle has been named a finalist in the 2022 Sustainability Awards competition sponsored by Packaging Europe magazine, according to an article in the publication.

Designed in-house by Berlin Packaging, the carbon-reduced and compensated wine bottle is produced with energy from biomethane, a renewable source obtained from waste and certified by Eco Power. The carbon footprint of Aurelia is compensated through ClimatePartner, a leading German company in carbon accounting services since 2006.

The bottle is available in ancient green and emerald green in order to maximize the recycled glass content and create the perfect vessel for organic wine growing.

Minimizing its environmental impact and offering sustainability-focused products and services to its clients across all end-use markets and geographies is one of Berlin Packaging's key sustainability priorities.

The company has a dedicated sustainability plan that works on two fronts. On the one hand, Berlin Packaging aims to improve its direct performances in the areas of logistics and facilities. On the other hand, the company provides its customers with new and more sustainable solutions that can support them in achieving their sustainability packaging goals.
