California Transparency in Supply Chains Act Disclosure

Intro

Berlin Packaging is committed to conducting business ethically, responsibly, and with integrity throughout our global supply chain. We do not condone or tolerate human trafficking, slavery, forced labor, or unethical business practices in any form.

We expect our suppliers to uphold the same high standards that guide our own operations. The following disclosure describes our efforts to comply with the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010.

Product Supply Chains & Supplier Standards

Berlin Packaging is committed to fostering responsible practices throughout our supply chain. Our Supplier Code of Conduct establishes minimum standards for all suppliers in the areas of:

  • Health & Safety
  • Labor Standards
  • Business Integrity
  • Environmental Responsibility

We are also a member of Sedex (Supplier Ethical Data Exchange), a global organization dedicated to improving responsible and ethical business practices within supply chains. Berlin Packaging requests that manufacturing partners participate in independent Sedex SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) assessments.

Supplier Audits

In addition to Sedex SMETA audits, Berlin Packaging conducts periodic audits of international manufacturing partners through our Quality organization. While these audits evaluate multiple aspects of supplier performance, responsible labor practices and corporate social responsibility are key areas of review.

If we become aware of practices that do not comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct, we may require corrective action or terminate the supplier relationship.

Supplier Certification

Our Supplier Code of Conduct outlines supplier responsibilities related to preventing forced labor, human trafficking, and other unethical labor practices.

Acceptance of a supplier agreement, purchase order, or provision of goods or services to Berlin Packaging constitutes the supplier's acknowledgment of, and commitment to comply with, our Supplier Code of Conduct.

Internal Accountability

Berlin Packaging requires all employees to comply with our Global Code of Conduct.

We comply with all applicable labor and employment laws and expect the same of our suppliers, vendors, and service providers. We prohibit child labor, forced labor, human trafficking, prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor, and all forms of physical or mental coercion. Employee compensation and working hours must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Confidential reporting mechanisms are available to allow employees to report concerns without fear of retaliation.

Employee Training

Each year, Berlin Packaging employees review and acknowledge our Global Code of Conduct and complete training on anti-corruption and anti-bribery practices.

Our Global Code of Conduct and Supplier Code of Conduct reflect our commitment to fairness, honesty, ethical business practices, and respect for human rights throughout our operations and supply chain.
