Pravana, a professional hair color and care brand, partnered with Berlin Packaging’s Studio One Eleven inhouse design agency to conceive a custom handheld bottle for its Pure Light lightening products, reports Packaging Strategies magazine.
Traditional hair color powders typically are packed in large, bulky tubs with a scoop that can sink to the bottom of the container. The design team at Studio One Eleven created a tall, slender bottle with simplified pour-and-measure dispensing that can reportedly save salon stylists time and space. The sleek bottle occupies only one-quarter of the footprint area of the typical lightening tub.
The new plastic bottle eliminates the scoop. A cap with a built-in funnel delivers an accurate, mess-free pour while a second overcap serves as a dosing cup that permits quick, one-step measurements.
