Carton and Container Labeling

Special labeling for CRP should only be included on cartons and containers if there is ample space after all other required information is added or it's required by law. Manufacturers or distributors that choose to add this information are encouraged to add it near the storage and handling section on the packaging. CRP that may have a statement on the secondary packaging carton is child-resistant blister packaging, as blister packs are often too small to contain all relevant information. Other child-resistant containers that may contain CRP statements include those containing pesticides, chemicals, and other harmful products. Some items in CRP like certain household cleaners, pesticides, and industrial solvents or adhesives do not require CRP statements on their bottles or containers. Manufacturers or distributors, however, may still choose to include these statements on product packaging as a precautionary measure.
