Berlin Packaging is powered by enterprise software from Oracle’s PeopleSoft suite.  This state-of-the-art system was installed in 2001 and has been regularly updated to incorporate software and process improvements.

 

In 2006, CIO Magazine recognized Berlin Packaging with its "Top 100 Innovators" award for how it applied the PeopleSoft tools to enable growth.  We won this award again in 2007. 

 

We feel that our systems are such an advantage in our industry that we’ve branded them internally as “Fortitude.”   

 

 

 

Training and Development

 

A powerful enterprise system won’t create value, however, unless employees know how to use it.  We created Berlin Packaging University, which includes hundreds of training modules for how to use our powerful systems.  Every employee has a specific training curriculum that includes  lessons and assessments.

 

In addition to systems training, Berlin Packaging University includes a complete “Packaging 101” program as well as training on functional excellence.
