These are a series of international sales terms, published by International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and used in international commercial transactions. These are accepted by governments and legal authorities for the interpretation of most commonly used terms in international trade. Their purpose is to have a common language for the division of responsibilities around transactions involving the purchasing and movement of physical goods.
